It is so amusing to see a swamp reptile that we wouldn’t want to mess with getting a place in an adorable furniture design. These feared reptiles have never looked as pleasant as they look on this handmade stool. Georgia-based design collective Garbage Kids, founded by Nika Gabiskiria, Ulla Alla, and Luka Abshhizde, created the quirky Walnut Crocodile stool with pointy teeth and eyes of the reptile carved on the sides and a tapered chiseled seat mimicking its skin textures.

The design team has created another red crocodile stool as well, but this one exhibits different characteristics. It differs in its shape and design, and even the material. It is obvious that the defining quality of this stool is its features, but what is even more defining is the build.

It is crafted from offcuts from previous projects, finished with linseed oil, and polished with wax paste for final touches. The hand-carved eyes and teeth are painted with oil paint. Its long legs are ebonized with vinegar and steel mixture, later finished with linseed oil for a more refined look.

The designers made it more appealing by using only reclaimed materials and finishing them off with such imaginative and functional design that is so endearing and heartwarming to see. This creative process is backed by the idea of making fearsome creatures into these cute furniture pieces that will warm someone’s heart and will be apt as an aesthetic and functional home décor.

Talking about the project, Garbage Kids told Dezeen, “The main idea behind our collection is to create something truly long-lasting, something with a strong character that creates images which stay with you, something to empathize with, creating connections on a personal level, something that is passed down by generation, to be maintained and cared for as long as possible.”

How can we not adore crocodiles now with this pleasing Walnut Crocodile stool that is not just an artistic piece but also serves as a lovely object with playful vibes? With its refreshing design, it feels like a breath of fresh air. We admire this cartoonish table that has the efficiency to create a light-hearted atmosphere in any living space.
