Danish design house MENU is known for its sharp Scandinavian aesthetic and design ideology of “soft minimalism”. Recently, the company has launched the Reverse Table Lamp that boasts beauty of natural materials.

Designer Aleksandar Lazic drew inspiration from Italian marble tables from the 1970s for creating the Reverse Lamp. It features a conical travertine base, paired with a curved, bronzed aluminum lampshade to create a balanced expression.

The light is diffused evenly across the unfinished stone base, which highlights the natural imperfections perfectly. It is like an intriguing color play that seems to stem from the base itself. There is a dimmer switch at the top of the lamp to adjust the light intensity.

The Reverse Lamp offers warm illumination, making it a perfect bedside table or a reading lamp. But it is more than a lighting piece – it is an achievement of eco-design. It is priced at about $710 on the official website.

Achille Castiglioni designed a similar Snoopy table lamp with a marble base for Flos earlier.
