Netherlands-based boutique design studio REMI VAN OERS focuses on creating innovative, aesthetic designs that enrich people’s lives. The NEWTIME time 2.1 is the studio’s latest product, which re-imagines their previous minimalist clock that featured only two dots of different colors to indicate time. The design re-invents how we see the time on the clock.

The only difference in the new clock is of material – the time 2.1 is made from anodized aluminum while the earlier version was constructed from sintered Nylon 11 bioplastic. The clock features a clean rounded shape and comes with a tiny magnetic stand, though the clock can balance on its own and can be used without the stand.

There is an orange dot indicator to represent the hour and a black dot indicator for minutes. Furthermore, the layered face design makes it easy to recognize time. The battery can be effortlessly removed or added by a single-push movement.

The NEWTIME time 2.1 clock combines both form and function in one product. Its updated design adds even more modernist note to the clock. It not only offers a completely unique time-telling experience but will also be an attention-grabbing item itself. It is priced at €180 (translates to $200) on the official website.
