Edmonton-based couple of Don and Yvette Bacha, are founders of Hellas Pet Enclosures, a company that constructs custom patios for cats. Also called ‘catios,’ these enclosures are popularly growing worldwide to provide comfortable space for cats to play and rest throughout the day.
The couple built the first catio for their adorable cats, Zeus and Spartacus. Pet owners know that allowing kitties to go outdoors puts them at the risk of disease, loss, or can also be fetal. To offer them a protected outdoor environment, the couple started their own firm and began creating outdoor enclosures and catio for felines to play without feeling the need to go away from the premises.
So far, the Edmonton couple has built various towering cat patios, including a ‘double’ design that includes an extensive network of ramps and tunnels to keep your furry-friends intrigued.
They create several catios in different sizes and shapes. However, most of them are small screened-in porches. The cats can easily come and go into these catios, as they please through an open window or door flap of your house.

While most of the couple’s catio designs are for condos and apartments, some cat lovers have commissioned them to create towering two-story patio palaces, with tubes, tunnels, tubes, and shaded porches.
