Stacking endless cords of plastic bricks is something I reminisce about from my childhood. I’ve experienced the ecstasy of completing a structure from LEGO blocks and have also grunted with pain whenever I stepped on them. The world-leading manufacturers of playing material have now set foot in interior designing and furnishing. LEGO in collaboration with a Danish design brand Room Copenhagen launched its first-ever wooden homeware collection.

Made entirely from FSC certified oakwood, the LEGO homeware collection includes wall hangers, desk drawers, book racks, and picture frames. The stylish wooden wall hanger set features a mounting hook on the back of each stud to make it easier to hang items. The wooden wall hanger set will fetch you around (£115), $153 approximately.

Available at £140 ($190 approx.), comes an oversized LEGO brick with four and eight studs and a removable drawer that is ideal for storage. The collection also includes a wooden picture frame that can be used to keep photographs and is available for £80 (about $110).

The wooden accessory is available in two color options. The first is soap-treated red oak that is comparatively lighter in nature than dark-stained red oak. Suited for your living area, every item is designed to the size of the original bricks. Furthermore, each item in the collection is inscribed with LEGO on its surface. In addition, the desk drawer and the picture frame can be stacked if required.

Jacob Eberhard, CEO at Room Copenhagen stated, “Room Copenhagen is well versed in creating and producing upscaled LEGO bricks for children’s storage and organization in the home and this launch takes our collaboration with the LEGO Group to the next level, in terms of expanding the product line to target adults.”

He further added, “We trialed it with the launch of the LEGO Originals Wooden Minifigure and the success of that product inspired us to bring out an entire range in the same material.”

This is not the first collaboration between LEGO and Room Copenhagen. Prior to this, the two brands together pulled out LEGO minifigures in 2019.
