If you are a camping enthusiast, you may have heard of Tentsile, a British outdoor and sports goods company famous for its versatile family camping tent that can be suspended in mid-air or used as a platoon-style rafter. Well, Tentsile is back in news. The award-winning camping, hammock and tree tent company has introduced its first ground tent dubbed LUNA, and it looks as average as my high school grade.

Looking at the features of the tent, it neither promise to offer an additional dog compartment like the Kings Peak nor does it tout to be as big as Cave XL. However, it does boast a floor area of 29-square-feet and two doors – on opposite sides – that ensure hindrance-free entry and exit. Multiple ventilation points have been provided in the LUNA to ensure adequate airflow and maintain the temperature inside the tent.

Standing on anodized aluminum tent poles, the tent is made of 70D polyester and is fully waterproof. LUNA has two built-in porch spaces, both protected by the ground sheet. The space is suitable for accommodating your camping gear and keeping it clean and dry.

The most interesting aspect of LUNA is that you can set it up in only five minutes. So, if the night is approaching or the weather gets a little stormy, setting up LUNA won’t be an upheaval. In comparison to the Kings Peak ground tent, LUNA is expensive at $300. But it is a miser in the space and arrives in a solitary blue color, which I’m not a fan of.

LUNA ground tent by Tentsile is something that may look good while camping on some barren island full of rocks but it’s be a task to get it there. Weighing 61lbs, the tent is relatively heavier than others with more space and features to offer the campers.

A LUNA consumer expressed his unhappiness regarding the heavy weight of the ground tent on Tentsile’s Instagram handle. Nevertheless, the tent is still robust and versatile for two people to fit in easily.
