Soaring heat and sunny days call for a desperate vacation. If you are pondering where to go, I would highly recommend you explore rural Moray in Scotland. Set in 3 acres of lush greenery, this unique hideaway under the stars welcomes you with open arms. Nestled at the foot of the beautiful Ben Rinnes mountain, this earthen home offers breathtaking views of the nearby area from every window. It also brings a sense of eco-friendliness with its green roof and natural wood construction.

Made of straw, mud and timber supposedly, the eco-home is an architect-designed masterpiece serving as the perfect escape from everyday life. The round-shaped home features an open-plan floor plan to bring families and friends effortlessly together under a spectacular roof. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the local surrounding that would make them forget all the worries for a while.

The earthen home is spacious enough and features two bedrooms with bunk beds and bamboo fiber mattresses to let you sleep comfortably. In addition, there are two futons that can be converted into single beds, if you are travelling with family. It also includes a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, stove, fridge, coffee maker and other nitty-gritty cooking equipment. There is also a bathroom with a flushing toilet catering to your hygiene needs.

You can have your dinner and lunch at the open living/dining area where a wood burning stove will keep you warm. In case you are a book worm, the place also offers some English classics to read and Wi-Fi to keep you in touch with the rest of the world. For other entertainment purposes, you can even use a Bluetooth speaker, games like jigsaw puzzles, and soft and wooden toys.

There is also a garden with BBQ and picnic tables, which you can access for recreational and leisure activities. You can even do stargazing at night, thanks to the Dobsonian telescope and a large skylight. Outside, you are surrounded by wildlife and may spot a few passing deer and a multitude of birds.

Walk down the garden to discover a totally private and enchanting Fairy Glen with a bubbling brook and mini waterfalls that will have your eyes glued to the beauty of the nature. Nearby is the Aberlour village, where one can find a great selection of cafes, restaurants and shops.

Overall, this earthen home rental under the stars is a rock solid destination to visit this summer. Currently available on Airbnb, $240 is what it would require you to book your stay for one night.
