Despite being used in two different sets of environments, both gaming and office chairs share some commonalities. The two separate breeds of chairs are bought for their functionality rather than aesthetics. Furthermore, the twain are equally expensive. A small spring in functionality and a slight dip in price here, and it is destined to become news. I’m tripping over this because Herman Miller has launched yet another gaming chair in partnership with Logitech G, and it’s $500 cheaper than the Embody gaming chair, the duo introduced in 2020.

Dubbed Vantum, the furniture piece is Herman Miller’s first-ever performance chair made specifically for hardcore gamers. Created with gaming ergonomics in mind, the chair offers optimal playing posture from the moment the user sits down. Whether you want to lean in, move, react or simply relax, Vantum is a versatile ergonomic chair that supports gamers throughout the tourney.

Whether Vantum is as comfortable as Embody is something I can only tell once I clock in some extended gaming sessions. But considering the price being its biggest sell point, I’d stay close to that prospect. For $1500, Herman Miller gave us a chair that PCMag reviewed as big on comfort, and an even bigger price courtesy of it being shipped fully assembled. Other than that it is comfortable to sit on and dashed with many adjustable elements to personalize the feel.

With a dip of $500, Vantum gaming chair features a thoracic support pad to relieve pressure buildup. Other than that, it also comprises an adjustable headrest that thoroughly supports your head and spine. All the features tallied will keep both the body and head in a relaxed state when you are romping with opponents.

Another important aspect to note here is that the chair body dons a flexible cushion that is crafted using 100-percent post-consumer recycled textile. In addition, the chair’s base and frame are composed of glass-filled nylon. Available in three color combinations, the gaming chair can be bought right off the Herman Miller store.
