We all have seen birdhouses nestled in the trees, and been so intrigued by them, but have you ever thought of living in one yourself? That sounds like a maddening fantasy. However, this bizarre idea has been now brought to life. i29 Architects and Namo Architecture have joined hands to create the whimsical Buitenverblijf Nest tiny house, at the Hoge Veluwe National Park, Netherlands. Don’t be dissuaded by this tiny folly, since it’s not created just for an aesthetic show, but is truly livable and smartly furnished. A family of four can comfortably spend their holidays in this tiny house, and make memories for a lifetime to cherish.

You will find Buitenverblijf Nest tiny house amidst the trees, waving gently, brushing against the nest. To give this abode its unique architectural status, the builders have done a tremendous job elevating a three-layered structure, 24.6-feet from the ground using slender black legs. They have made sure to keep it on the good side of nature, sturdy, and packed with comfort.

Its bamboozled exterior is built using only the finest of materials. The roof is clad in solar panels, to make the house run on renewable energy. The exterior is lined with eye-catching circular porthole windows, and a wall-to-wall sliding entrance door. These generous additions of windows make it easy for you to connect with nature. Its birdhouse-like structure makes you feel like a bird resting in a snuggly nest. The spiral stairs welcome you to the front-facing deck, which accommodates seating to enjoy a moment of peace and joy.

You will be surprised to see the minimalistic approach its 592-square-feet interior has. Not to mention, how bright and sunny it looks in the daytime. You can almost feel the sense of belonging. The interior is compact and uncompromising in functionality as it features a living area, a kitchen, a mezzanine bathroom, and a bedroom.

The light-filled area you see upon entering the house is the living area. It accommodates seating and a coffee table. Next to the living area, is a kitchen, which has a sink, a cooktop, a countertop, a microwave, a refrigerator and plenty of cabinets and drawers. The arrangement of two chairs by the countertop is to enjoy a scrumptious meal.

Elsewhere on the loft is a fully functional bathroom, reachable via stairs. It has a shower area, a sink with a vanity, and a toilet. The hood of the nest is a bedroom, outfitted with an extra-large bed, which can sleep two adults and two children. There is a little detail of a wooden hanger that can be used as an open closet. Surprisingly, the room has enough head space. A circular porthole window gives you the best view of the outdoors and floods the room with natural light.

If you are looking for an escape, and a place that offers closeness to nature like anywhere else, then Buitenverblijf Nest Tiny House is one step away. It can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience to live large in a minimalistic space, encompassing breathtaking views, the perfect recreational way to camouflage yourself from the rest of the world. Interestingly, you can rent this tiny house on Airbnb, at $193.88 for a night.
