Cold plunges have been proven good for health but installing one at home can cost thousands of dollars. But what if you can turn your existing bathtub into a cold plunge? This has become a reality all thanks to HomePlunge, an innovative water chiller that makes enjoying the benefits of cold therapy simple and affordable.

Unlike most cold plunge products that require more space, the HomePlunge system is built to directly chill the water in your bathtub. It simply sits next to your bathtub and you need to push-click the hose arm into the tub to chill the water. The maker says the chilling process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the desired temperature and volume of water in the bathtub.

Using an r32 refrigerant, the home plunge kit can cool water at a rate of 10 degrees per hour, reaching a minimum temperature of 39°F. It requires 1HP of power and at a noise level ranging from 45-55 dB.

After the tub has reached the desired temperature, the compressor and fan will stop automatically and will start again when the temperature drops by two degrees. The user can also enjoy the remote control feature through the Tuya smart app.

The HomePlunge system measures 20x16x19 inches and weighs 90 lbs. It features a classy appliance-like design and colors that make it blend in any bathroom. There are onboard wheels that allow you to stow it away when not in use. Maintaining the cold plunge system is also very simple as it does not require any filter replacement – you simply drain the tub where all the water stays during the chilling period.

HomePlunge is currently taking pre-orders, with a price tag of $2,800 and delivery slated for late January. It has been named the 2025 Innovation Award Honoree in the Fitness category at CES 2025.
