With urban spaces expanding and the outdoor spaces of our homes narrowing, indoor gardening is evolving to cater to plant enthusiasts. Whether it is to embrace biophilic design or grow fresh ingredients, modern indoor gardening systems and planters are integrated with AI, self-watering, and automated functioning features to help your plants thrive. It helps keep your plants nourished but takes you out of the picture until it is time to refill water tanks or harvest.

Not to mention that this rarely includes your desk planters which seldom see these upgrades. Take the Eve desk planter designed by ElleSTVDIO for example. Eve is not battery-operated and has no AI integration. Instead, the designer made this flawless 3D-printed vase from rock marble PLA material with just one little eye-catching detail: It brings the effect of raindrops to your tabletop.

Eve offers a greener and more interactive space where you can watch your plant grow and be an agent of its growth. Its wonderful design bathes your plant with gentle showers mimicking soft raindrops, cultivating a Zen space while keeping the plant thriving.

The design of the 3D-printed Eve planter consists of three distinct parts, including the detachable top basin, the bottom tray for excess water and plant deposit, and the vase itself. The base of the planter is a quintessential tapered cylinder with an eye-catching spiral strip to the side that has a basin at the top. When you fill this basin with water, it drips drop by drop gently onto the plant. This soothing process transforms your desk into a calming, meditative space.

Eve 3D-printed planter is not entirely an old-school planter, but a desk planter with a simple mechanism that offers you an opportunity to participate in your plant’s growth and allows you to care for the plant hands-on. It pairs the self-watering aspect with an engaging visual.
