Utah-based Bean Trailer has already won hearts with its compact and lightweight campers like the Bean Stock 2.0 and Black Bean teardrop trailers. Now, the company has come up with a unique product. Unlike traditional camper trailers, the all-new Bean Pod utilizes the main cabin for gear storage instead of sleeping. Weighing just 1,400 lbs, this off-road trailer purposefully uses every inch of the available space for hauling gear, including the area beneath the rooftop tent.
Inside the Bean Pod, there is a large cargo compartment accessible from both sides. It is big enough to hold bags, totes, and other gear, with tie-down points to keep everything secure while traveling. There is a built-in shelf with a dedicated tray for an air compressor, as well as a storage area on the floor. A 4-foot folding table with built-in benches is also neatly stored on one of the walls.
The elevated roof rack is a smart design feature that adds extra storage capacity. The space between the trailer roof and the rack can be used to store larger items like paddle boards, kayaks, and more. It also provides enough head clearance to mount an awning on top.
Over the fenders, Molle panels are attached to the sides of the roof rack for carrying tools like shovels or external lights. On the front deck, there is a dirt bike stand, while the rear features a 2-inch hitch receiver for attaching a bike rack or other gear carrier.
Just like the Bean Squared camper trailer, the Bean Pod features a side-mounted galley kitchen equipped with a cooktop, sink with water storage and faucet system, fridge and plenty of storage space. At the rear, the tailgate compartment includes more storage space and its drop-down door doubles as a food prep area. The mounting brackets on the roof rack allow for easy setup of a rooftop tent to turn the gear hauler into a full-fledged camper.

Built with a rugged, overlapped aluminum shell and integrated rain gutters, the Bean Pod is designed to handle harsh weather conditions with ease. It rides on 33-inch all-terrain tires paired with a custom air-ride suspension to tackle rough terrains. It includes a 72-gallon water tank and Goal Zero Yeti 500 power station for extended off-grid adventures. There is even an exterior-mounted shower box for added convenience.
The Bean Pod comes in 18 standard colors and is estimated to cost between $19,999 and $28,000. There are no official details about the specifications and availability yet.
