The supervillain’s character has inspired a range of things, and that list now includes furniture. Thanks to a collaborative effort from Formitalia, Stellantis Design Studio, and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the Joker-inspired luxury furniture collection is out there, tingling our brains.
In the very first glance, you realize that the Formitalia Joker Home Collection isn’t just about furniture. It is a reflection of the unpredictable, untamed, and rebellious characteristics of the namesake, which the designers have been able to portray in essence. The unexpected and asymmetrical design cues of the furniture reciprocate the Joker’s dark sense of humor, while the diverse usage of material adds tactile finesse to the Joker’s imperfection.
The oversized furniture with exaggerated form highlights Formitalia Joker Collection, which has been daringly brought to life by Stellantis Design Studio. Forming part of Formitalia’s existing furniture in the Batman Universe, the Joker-themed collection comprises two sofas, two armchairs, and a gum dispenser in the shape of a skull.
This living room furniture rightly captures the rebellious and visionary spirit of the Joker making it a work of art that was recently on display – in its entirety – at the 2025 Salone del Mobile Furniture Fair in Milan. At the core of the collection is the Joker Throne Armchair: a sculptural high back chair that’s a manifesto of power. It comprises a hand-worked fiberglass shell overlaid with multiple layers of lacquer to create a visually stunning effect.
The puffy Asylum Armchair, on the other hand, is crafted from carbon fiber-textured sail fabric. The chair, notably, emits an unsettling sound upon touch, evoking a sense of claustrophobia and restlessness, playing with the anarchic feeling of the Joker and his love for Harley Quinn. According to Formitalia, the Smile Sofa has an expressive and uncontrollable essence of the Joker. With its red velvet upholstery and exaggerated curves, the sofa is shaped like the Joker’s infamous Glasgow grin.

Of course, the abovementioned furniture in the Formitalia Joker Collection will speak to those that put symbolism and history ahead of instant comfort in their decoration approach. However, the Chaos sofa will make the weak shiver. Designed in two shades red and yellow, the sofa can create a space reflective of Joker’s unpredictable nature and is capable of offsetting conflict between order and chaos.
Amid the furniture units, the gum dispenser called Prankster Dispenser may seem weird, but maybe that’s not how it should be in the Joker’s lair. It is shaped like a human head that reflects the unpredictable nature and complex personality of the Joker. This and every other piece in the furniture collection brings out a distinct identity of the Joker that will someday fill our living rooms with its characteristics.
