As if the world wasn’t already so devoid of concept furniture and AI-generated furnishing, Justin Bieber decided to add his bit to the evolution of the industry. The Canadian singer-songwriter took to Instagram to announce the bench prototype designed by his company SKYLRK.
First reported by Hypebeast, the post features a series of in-progress teasers of the bench. Previously, Bieber had released a series of products ranging from hoodies and sweatpants to footwear under the brand SKYLRK, which has fans speculating that this is not a PR gig but a serious work in play. Bieber’s Instagram post reads, “Brought this @skylrk concept bench to life. First prototype, So grateful.” If there is something it suggests, it could potentially be Bieber’s foray into the world of furniture design, too.
If we look at the pictures of the design, it is quite clear that the concept bench features a wooden finish. Another hallmark of the design is a wavelike pattern, drawing similarities to the SKYLRK branding. Bieber has also posted pictures of the initial process, which suggest that the bench is supposedly carved out of foam to test out its shape and design.
Netizens have their own opinions regarding Bieber’s photo dump. Some are deeming the furniture to be extremely uncomfortable, while others think it deserves an award.
“That looks so uncomfortable and not stylish. But we all know rich people love boring, uncomfortable things like their personality,” commented a user under the post. Another user dissed the idea, commenting, “Can you guys make me a sunken pit for my house?” Another netizen took a dig at the design, commenting, “The bench is made in reverse. Tell them to take that large backboard plank and put it on the opposite side, then flip around, and it will be perfect.”

Beyond trolls, some of Bieber’s die-hard fans had some lovely things to say as well. “I love it. This is such a creative piece,” commented one user. “That new Skylrk bench is clean, no doubt. Straight fire. Justin’s swag and style are all over it,” penned another.
Neither Bieber nor SKYLRK spilled the beans about the rest of the information about the bench’s design or availability. It is also not clear if it will be a limited-edition piece.
