Friends fans, rejoice! Central Perk is coming to Manhattan, finally. You can now enjoy a cup of coffee in their fictional Central Perk, coming to its first-ever permanent location in Times Square in fall 2025. Made famous as the recognizable gathering point in Friends, the fictional coffee shop is getting a permanent spot in New York City’s Times Square, according to a release from Central Perk Coffeehouse and Warner Bros. Discovery. The modern-day version of the Friends hangout comes with artisanal coffee, the iconic orange couch, and a menu crafted by Tom Colicchio, the Top Chef judge and James Beard Award winner.
You can pop in for a coffee or sit in the cozy sofa room on the orange couch, identical to the one where Monica, Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Joey, and Phoebe spent so much time discussing their lives. Don’t worry, this is not a gimmick or a photo-op. Central Perk Coffee Co. is a fully operational café at the northeast corner of Seventh Avenue and 47th Street. It builds on the popularity of the first location in Boston, opened in 2024.

The New York Central Perk leans into both nostalgia and modern coffee culture. You can enjoy artisanal drinks and a series-inspired menu that’ll remind you of “teach you not to lick my muffin” or Phoebe’s bun blunder with Princess Leia fantasy, or just the six friends sitting around sipping coffee from cups “so big they might as well have nipples on them.”
This pop-culture themed cafe comes courtesy of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experience, Central Perk Coffee Co. and CenPer Holdings. The aim is to bring the enduring spirit of the show to life in the city where it was set but never actually filmed.

“Friends is one of those rare shows that continues to bring people together, generation after generation. At the heart of that story was always Central Perk… a place where laughter, connection, and unforgettable moments were shared,” said Peter van Roden, EVP at Warner Bros. Discovery.
The café will have exclusive merchandise only available at the New York Location, along with Central Perk’s six signature coffee blends. Available ground whole, or in compostable capsules, you can also take these beans home.
Whether you are a lifelong friend who can recite every eclectic episode from memory, or someone looking for a new coffee haunt in Midtown, Central Perk is the place to be. You might just catch “Smelly Cat” playing on repeat.
