LG is bringing back its popular Wallpaper TVs, and they will be exhibited at the upcoming CES 2026. Launched back in 2017, this TV series was touted as the world’s thinnest OLED, measuring just 2.57mm thick. Now, LG has revived the TV lineup with the evo W6 model that follows the same design criteria but has some serious upgrades that make it better for modern homeowners. Unlike the predecessors, the TV now combines wireless connectivity and Hyper Radiant Color Technology, already featured in the G6 model, as hinted by some leaks.
The 2026 Wallpaper OLED TVs feature a 9-mm thin body, which is not as thin as the predecessor but is quite great from its competitors, including the Samsung S95D/F OLED models. Its slim profile helps it look like wallpaper, while the minimum clutter of wires complements the wallpaper design. The TV also supports LG Gallery+, which offers you access to over 4,500 visuals and much more.
Unlike the previous version, it does not use a separate box to house the TV components; rather, the manufacturer has miniaturized its components and re-engineered the internal architecture for to optimize available space. Samsung has also created an improved wall mount that enables the TV to sit flush against the wall from edge to edge, just like standard wallpaper.
As for the display tech, Samsung has employed its Hyper Radiant Color Technology that improves black, color and brightness. Powered by Brightness Booster Ultra, the TV is said to achieve brightness levels up to 3.9 times brighter than conventional OLEDs. The Wallpaper TV also uses a specially designed reflection-free screen with certification from Intertek that prevents distraction, even in brightly lit rooms. All the features are supported by the new α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, featuring a more powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that enables the Dual AI Engine to retain natural detail without losing quality.
What makes this TV different from standard TVs is the wireless TV connectivity that allows you to place it almost anywhere in the room. All the connectivity ports are located on the Zero Connect Box, which can be positioned up to 10 meters away from the TV, so that there is minimal wire clutter in front of the TV. The Wallpaper TV supports a 4K 165Hz refresh rate and a 0.1 millisecond pixel response time with Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). It is also compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium to cater to gaming needs.

LG’s award-winning webOS platform is another highlight that shows a personalized home screen for different users. As you give it a voice command, it recognizes you and instantly switches the interface to match your profile, complete with personal widgets and apps.
The user experience is further enriched by AI capabilities from Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot that allow you to ask it questions through voice command. LG has also upgraded its AI Concierge, which allows you to explore content-related information with minimal effort. There is also a new ‘In This Scene’ feature, so that you can check cast details and related content.
LG W6 Wallpaper TV is betting on truly wireless connectivity through the One Connect Box, which helps it become a part of your home. Much like a few other brands, this system is capable of delivering lossless 4K video and audio wirelessly, which means you require minimal wires. It’s indeed a great move as that takes it flush in competition with Samsung, which has done something similar to its Frame Pro TV. The Gallery TV launched a few days back, is also a similar kind of entertainment appliance that can be used for home decoration as well.
