JBL’s latest BandBox AI-powered practice amplifier and portable speaker is well-suited for both beginner and experienced musicians. Available in Solo and Trio models, the device is designed to make practice and music creation easier and more accessible. The main highlight is the built-in Stem AI technology, which allows musicians to remove a specific instrument or vocal from a song and play that part themselves. Furthermore, each model comes with rich signature JBL sound, built-in effects, and more practice tools.

The BandBox features AI-powered, real-time vocal and instrument separation from any Bluetooth music streaming source. You can use AI to remove specific parts, create a custom backing track, and then play that missing part yourself. Both the music-oriented models feature wide-ranging JBL sound tuned for instruments, vocals, and music playback.

They deliver well-balanced audio with crisp highs, a captivating midrange, and booming lows to enrich your sessions at home or on-the-go with onboard batteries. Both models include a tuner, metronome, and looper via the JBL One App. You can also connect to your laptop with a USB-C output to capture your sound straight to your Digital Audio Workstation.

JBL BandBox Solo is best suited for individual musicians, such as guitarists and singer-songwriters, who need a simple practice tool. Despite its compact size, this musical tool lets you plug in, play, and create music with ease. The built-in speaker offers 18W RMS output and comes with only one guitar/microphone input.

You can choose from one of the presets or create your own sound. There is also a built-in looper for rhythmic layering and solo creativity, while a pitch shifter and tuner are also included for further assistance. The onboard battery provides up to six hours of playtime. It is priced at $250, and the shipping begins on March 1, 2026.

The JBL BandBox Trio is designed for small bands, duos, and group rehearsals, as it comes with multiple inputs and offers a more powerful sound with 135W output with 6.5-inch woofer, and dual 1-inch tweeters.

This screened device has a total of four inputs for guitar, mic, keys, and e-drums. There is even a 4-channel mixer that allows you to connect multiple instruments and balance them through a single speaker without needing a full PA system. Priced at $600, this portable yet powerful music amp offers up to 10 hours of playtime and comes with a swappable battery pack.
