When it comes to wireless multi-room audio, Denon competes directly with Sonos through its HEOS ecosystem and Home speaker line. For 2026, both the brands have come up with fresh alternatives. A few days back, Sonos launched its Play and Era 100 SL models to reach a wider audience and now Denon has expanded its Home speaker lineup with new Home 200, Home 400 and Home 600 models following on the same lines. These plug-in, standalone wireless stereo speakers let you stream in lossless quality from formats like DSD, as well as use the leading high-resolution losless streaming services including TIDAL, Qobuz, and Amazon Music HD.

At the core of Denon 2026 Home speakers is the HEOS app that brings centralized streaming and control to your hands. It lets you easily set up, control, and stream music across all your speakers in one place. Each Denon Home speaker is precisely tuned in Japan by the Denon Sound Master for a detailed and balanced sound. You can also use the built-in EQ to adjust bass, treble, and placement settings for a more balanced and natural output for different spots in your home.

All the models feature Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, and physical ports including USB-C and 3.5mm Aux to connect external devices including turntables for audiophile listening experience. They mainly differ in driver configurations, Dolby Atmos capabilities, and sizing.

The 200 model uses three drivers with Class-D amplification and a single 4-inch woofer, while the 400 steps up to six drivers with dual 4.5-inch woofers, and the 600 features eight drivers with dual opposing 6.5-inch woofers for a deeper, room-filling bass.

In terms of immersive audio, the smallest model supports virtualized Dolby Atmos, whereas the larger two include true Atmos with dedicated up-firing drivers. The design is also different: the 200 and 400 models feature fabric finish while the 600 model comes with a premium metallic grille with machined holes. Each speaker is sized for different spaces, ranging from compact bookshelf to large living areas.

Owing to its compact size, the Denon Home 200 model is suitable for kitchens, bedrooms, or tight spaces. As a mid-range option, the Home 400 model is perfect for standard living rooms while the flagship Home 600 model is best for large rooms. Denon’s Home 200 features similar acoustic structure of Sonos’ Era 100 but there are major differences in the sound output. Engadget reviewed Home 200 to conclude it offers clear and detailed sound while Sonos Era 100 is often considered to lean more towards bassier and warmer sound.

Denon’s new Home multi-room audio speakers are now available to purchase for $399, $599 and $799 respectively. You can expect high-fidelity sound performance in these wireless multi-room audio speakers but there are limited choices of compatible audio products unlike Sonos.
