The tiny house industry got its start in the US, followed by Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. While the movement seems to have reached its peak in their regions, we are still seeing the rise in tiny houses on wheels in the European market. Although tiny homes have always existed in Europe, with manufacturers Vagabond Haven and Madeigunicho leading the movement, we are slowly seeing a fresh breed of builders that are taking the industry to new heights on the continent. One such manufacturer is Poland-based Craft House.

Renowned for its modular and mobile homes, Craft House is currently drawing attention for one of its standout offerings, the Katrin tiny house on wheels. Built on a double-axle trailer, the Katrin tiny house arrives fully furnished, road-ready, and is priced at 199,000 PLN ($50,000).

The tiny house measures 23.6 feet long, 8.2 feet wide, giving it the legal mobility to be relocated at will. Despite its compact footprint, the unit manages to distribute roughly 250 square feet of usable space across four distinct areas. This comprises a ground-floor living room with a kitchenette, a bathroom, and two lofts, each capacious enough to sleep a couple. We will get to these details, but first, let’s discuss the exterior of the mobile home.

The tiny house is clad in thermo pine and aluminium standing seam sheet metal beneath a classic gable roof rising to just over 13 feet at its ridge. Similar to the Jana tiny house, the Katrin also reflects the Scandinavian design sensibility. Case in point, the interior (walls) of the Katrin tiny house are finished in Scandinavian spruce, with buyers given the option to customise further through slats, decorative stone, large-format panels, or natural wood finishes.

The kitchen comes pre-installed with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, sink, and high-strength plywood cabinetry. The bathroom arrives equally complete, fitted with a shower, toilet, washbasin, mirror, electric radiator, electric water heater, fan, and full lighting. Other features include underfloor heating, smart air conditioning, and a 220 V electrical installation, which are included as standard throughout.

For tiny house enthusiasts seeking a fully turnkey solution, Craft House offers add-ons like a sofa bed, coffee table, bar stools, curtains, carpets, and a fireplace to the living area, along with mattresses, bedside lamps, and storage to each loft. The extended tier also includes a terrace with garden furniture, window blinds, and a photovoltaic system, turning Katrin into a viable off-grid dwelling. The Katrin is available for preorder on Craft House’s website. There is no clarity on whether it can be availed just in Poland or in the extended regions as well.
