Summer is upon us, and many of us are already looking for ways to elevate our backyard pool experience with convenient new options. If limited pool size has been holding back both fun and fitness you desire, iGarden has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the iGarden Swim Jet X Series, which it claims is the world’s first AI-enabled, battery-powered swim jet designed specifically for backyard pools.

A swim jet can maximize utility of a small backyard pool, making it suitable for fitness training and wave pool fun for kids. While traditional options are overly heavy, requiring permanent installation, dangling cables at poolside, and extensive plumbing changes, the iGarden Swim Jet X Series does that with precision and easier setup. It stands out for its AI-powered controls, battery-powered portability, and no-renovation design.

The battery-powered device attaches directly to the pool wall. Instantly, without additional setup, it pumps high volumes of water to create a consistent current. Smaller pools often feel limited for lap swimming and meaningful swim exercise. With the Swim Jet X, however, your small pool can feel like a lap-style swimming space, allowing you to swim against the water resistance. It transforms a compact water body into more meaningful space for serious exercise, training, and family splash parties on hot summer days.

Preorder Now: $2,599

AI-Powered Portable Swim Jet

If you have thought of using a swim jet and given up the idea because of the cumbersome installation involved; iGarden Swim Jet X Series is easier to use than you can imagine. This first-ever AI-powered swim jet allows you to get more value from your backyard pool, especially for those who want a pool upgrade, but without the hassles of a renovation.

The portable design of the Swim Jet X makes pool upgrade “simpler and more flexible, without drilling, plumbing, or permanent installation.” It arrives in a suitcase-style wheeled form factor attached to a telescope handle. It is easy to stroll to a convenient location at the pool, and once dipped into the water and clamped securely to the pool edge, it is ready: No drilling, no plumbing required.

The device is designed considerably to work with all pool types measuring 7 ft × 13 ft (2 m × 4 m)and larger, working perfectly with standard and irregular shapes. Producing powerful 11.5 ft/s (3.5 m/s) wave surges that adapt to your swim pace between 75–195 s/100 yards. The iGarden Swim Jet  X series uses PMSM motor and AI inverter to automate the water flow for smooth and consistent current you require, ensuring you train and swim better. Its advantages extend well beyond the exercise convenience; you can have splash parties with family or just enjoy pool time with kids and pets without ever leaving your backyard.

Design and Battery-Powered Portability

iGarden Swim Jet X Series is built in two parts. The main unit comprises the water jet and the second, a portable lithium battery. The IP65-rated power box weighs 25.6 lbs., while the main unit is 30.9 lbs. The former sits outside the pool, tethered to the main unit by a short wire, offering the swim jet up to 10 hours of continuous power on a single charge. It features a gyroscope to detect any accidental tripping, cutting off the power supply in real-time to avoid mishaps. On the inside, the Swim Jet X itself features a protective grille to prevent hair, debris, or curious fingers from reaching the motor.

Traditional swim jets usually work like simple water pumps. They produce fixed and often turbulent flow. The iGarden Swim Jet X Series uses AI to manage and stabilize the current in real time. AI allows the iGarden Swim Jet X Series to adjust speed levels and provide a more user-friendly swim experience. You can easily “adjust wave size by changing nozzle height,” or take full command of your time in the pool via a dedicated smartphone app. From the app, you can control the “flow speeds, set workout timers, track your performance, and share device access.”

Kickstart Your Journey With Swim Jet X

According to the convenience assured by the AI-powered iGarden Swim Jet X Series, backyard swimming pools are definitely in for a transformation. It is a smooth process that will uplift the experience for both fun and practice at perhaps the most convenient price point. The iGarden Swim Jet X Series is currently available for crowdfunding on Kickstarter and is enjoying a very successful campaign. The lucrative early bird discounts have seen a surge of backers who want to upgrade their swimming pools.

According to the information from iGarden, the earliest models of their swim jets are expected to begin shipping in May, starting at a very reasonable $799 for early adopters. Price can go up to $2,599 for the top-level variant in the series, which is still fractionally priced in comparison with traditional jets that can cost up to $15,000 and beyond. With the Jet X installed, swimmers can practice against gentle flows or crank up the water resistance for a higher-intensity workout. And when it’s family time, the same device can make splash parties in the backyard pool surprisingly fun in a jiffy.
