Hong Kong-based brand CoolGeek is renowned for producing audio gear inspired by Danish and Nordic aesthetics. In late 2025, the company’s VS-01 vertical turntable drew global attention for its upright, display-oriented form factor, which positioned records like wall art. Before that, CoolGeek also garnered limelight for MusicFrame M1, a wall-mountable, transparent CD player with integrated digital photo frame functionality.

Hot on the heels of two successful launches, CoolGeek is now running its third Kickstarter campaign based around the same Scandinavian design ethos. This time around, CoolGeek is putting its faith in TS-01, which it touts as “a fully-automatic and ultra-slim turntable.”

Contrary to traditional turntables that often require manual operation and experience,
TS-01 simplifies the entire process with full automation. “Just press play and enjoy vinyl without complexity or stress,” the brand states. As detailed in the company’s Kickstarter page, “With a single press, the tonearm lifts, moves into position, plays the record, and returns automatically at the end,” thus negating any manual cueing.

When it comes to size, the brand refrains from disclosing the exact measurement; it does, however, state that “The TS-01 is 50 percent thinner than conventional turntables,” making it suited for compact living spaces such as apartments, bedside tables, and small offices where traditional decks struggle to fit.

Another USP of the turntable is its fully automatic tonearm that handles all core functions, cueing, playback, pause, and return via an included remote control. The remote also supports loop, fast-forward, and rewind operations, significantly reducing the hands-on management typically associated with vinyl playback. TS-01 comes equipped with an Audio-Technica ATN3600L stylus. The brand states the unit supports “standard cartridges and stylus replacement as well.”

From a connectivity standpoint, the TS-01 offers both Bluetooth 5.3 wireless output and traditional RCA connections, giving users flexibility across modern and legacy audio setups. The unit also features six user-selectable lighting modes and an illuminated vinyl mat designed to add ambient visual appeal. It is available in black and white finishes.

At the time of writing, the campaign has raised more than $100,000 from nearly 500 backers, surpassing its funding target by more than eight times. Interested parties can hop on to Kickstarter and place their preorder for TS-01, with a single unit available for $200. CoolGeek has not disclosed production volumes or confirmed retail distribution partners beyond the current Kickstarter campaign.
