Creating new archetypes and modes of use has always been a priority for the London-based designer duo Barber Osgerby, making it a trend setter in the niche industry. The brand’s latest AXOR Archivio bathroom collection carries forward this approach by taking traditional design references and reinterpreting them in a modern way, rather than chasing short-lived trends. The design approach reflects a transitional design style that feels both nostalgic and contemporary, while it is focused on longevity.

The Archivio collection redefines historic forms and archival silhouettes with a modern lens. The design approach is moving away from experimental shapes toward timeless icons meant for longevity. The key highlight of the entire collection is the unique bloom-like cross handle or sculptural lever handle that invites the user to touch, offering a glimpse into the tactile interaction design trend.

The AXOR Archivio bathroom collection comprises washbasins, bathtubs, and showers, all featuring a coherent design language. The faucet handles are designed in a classic “cross” shape, but come with white markings for hot and cold water. Other highlighting details include curved spouts and rounded bases, representing high-quality craftsmanship and attention to design.

The collection includes a three-part faucet design with curved spouts and classic cross-shaped handles. There are also other options, such as single-handle faucets in various heights and wall-mounted versions with two or three holes, and different handle and spout styles.

There are also special pieces, such as a standalone bathtub faucet and other bath fittings. The AXOR Archivio also includes a full range of shower options with hidden and visible fittings, different shower types and setups, allowing designers to mix and match freely.

The Archivio bathroom collection is available in AXOR FinishPlus surfaces, in bold colors to quiet tonal pairings like brushed nickel and brass for a high level of personalization. Unveiled at Milan Design Week 2026, the collection combines soft silhouettes, flowing contours, and refined accents. The main idea is to put more focus on longevity and experience rather than just aesthetics.
