The 5K gaming monitor market is steadily growing, with LG’s UltraGear evo lineup leading the space. Dell’s subsidiary gaming brand Alienware has recently joined the bandwagon with the latest AW3926QW model. It is touted as the world’s first 39-inch 5K OLED gaming monitor with RGB stripe technology that helps it achieve high brightness without sacrificing color accuracy or deep blacks, while also preventing text fringing.
At the core of this 5K gaming monitor is the RGB stripe tandem OLED panel supplied by LG, notes PC World. It stacks independent layers of red, green, and blue elements to deliver up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness, ensuring rich colors and frayed edges. AW3926QW also adopts a polarizer layer that prevents ambient light from reflecting off the panel’s internal structure, resulting in rich blacks. The RGB stripe subpixel layout also solves the problem of fringing or softness to deliver sharp text, and it reduces long-term burn-in risk.
The gaming monitor features a native 5120 x 2160 (5K2K) ultrawide resolution on a 21:9 aspect ratio with a subtle 1500R curvature. The slim profile with a center thickness under 50mm looks really cool, while the 4-Side Super-Narrow Bezel (4SNB) offers a frameless viewing experience. It comes with a height-adjustable stand that allows you to tilt, swivel, and slant easily for the best viewing angle.
With a dual-mode design, you can enjoy two different speeds and resolutions in a single monitor. It offers a higher 5K resolution at 165Hz, or you can lower it down to 1080p for a higher 330Hz refresh rate. Alienware says, switching takes seconds from the on-screen display without restarting the device.

The gaming monitor includes a DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), HDMI 2.1 FRL with eARC, a 3.5mm headphone, and USB-C with 90W power delivery for connectivity. It is also compatible with Dolby Vision, NVIDIA G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and VESA AdaptiveSync for enhanced picture quality and motion clarity. There is also a built-in KVM switch that allows you to control multiple devices with one keyboard and mouse. Other highlights include 0.03ms response time, DCI-P3 99% color coverage, Delta E<2 accuracy, and anti-flicker technology.
For OLED longevity, the Alienware AW3926QW gaming monitor uses intelligent pixel management technology that predicts and stabilizes usage patterns to prevent degradation over time. Additionally, Alienware is offering a three-year burn-in warranty for extra peace of mind.
There are no details about the pricing yet, but you can expect it to be available in late June in select Asia locations, while North America and Europe buyers will have to wait until this fall.
