When it comes to overlanding and off-grid exploration, few vehicles blend rugged durability quite like the ARB’s Earth Camper. Launched in 2023, the trailer features a steel frame coupled with a heavy-duty suspension setup and alloy wheels in chunky all-terrain tires. As reported by blogs, back then, the Earth Camper boasted a fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) body along with top-class insulation. Not to mention, features like an expansive internal bedroom with a queen-sized bed, collapsible dining table, and a handful off-grid features.
In a bold move to capture the booming US overlanding market, Australian 4×4 icon ARB has now teamed up with American outfitter Xgrid Campers to launch its Earth Camper trailer stateside. Listed on XGRiD Campers’ inventory, this particular unit is now tailored for North American trails with slight modifications.
Measuring 15.4 feet long and 6.5 feet wide, the trailer provides generous interior space to sleep two adventurers alongside enough room to pack their more readily accessible cargo. The queen-size bed platform is encompassed by canvas walls and floor that is made from heavy-duty, waterproof materials rated for extreme weather.

In addition to retaining most of the core features from its Australian counterpart, the ARB camper US edition comes finished in a sleek matte black exterior (as in pictures) that not only looks stealthy but also resists scratches and UV damage, ideal for dusty desert runs or forested backroads. What sets the US-spec Earth apart from traditional American campers is its tailored tweaks for hotter climates and longer hauls. Some of these features include a rooftop air conditioner for beating summer swelter (absent in the Aussie original) and a 120-watt solar panel feeding a 100-Ah lithium battery, expandable to 300 Ah for extended boondocking.
This model comes equipped with a slide-out 96-liter dual-zone Zero fridge/freezer that keeps provisions chilled. A 140-liter fresh water tank supports multi-day escapes, with Redarc electrical management rewired to US standards for seamless integration. Powering the rig is a 12V auxiliary battery system, including a deep-cycle AGM battery and solar charging compatibility, allowing you to run LED interior lights and USB charging ports off-grid for days. The trailer remains airy and light-filled, courtesy of four large screened windows, a rear entry door, and an optional annex room (included in this listing) that extends your living area by few square feet.

Other features include tie-down points for bikes or kayaks, a full-length shoe storage pocket, and MOLLE webbing for customizable attachments. The trailer boasts a one-touch setup where all one is required to do is hit a button, and the rear hatch drops electrically into a hard floor, unfurling an optional auxiliary tent for instant extra space. On a little downside, there is no reference to a toilet, so we assume it’s not added in the base package. As for the bathroom, New Atlas points out “buyers can add a Joolca Hottap heated shower system and privacy curtain, optionally.”

The outdoor galley is streamlined for US efficiency, featuring a three-foot-long stainless steel bench, dual-burner stove, sink, and utensil storage. While the Australian version boasts a fancier L-shaped kitchen and roof rack, the US model prioritizes essentials like dust suppression for dusty Southwest trails and stone guards for rocky ascents. Preorders are open now via Xgrid, with deliveries slated for early 2026, perfect timing as US overlanders gear up for Overland Expo West.
