Camping trailers are found aplenty these days. Most claim to be built for purpose, but when the going gets tough, many fall flat on their face! Giving enthusiasts a meaningful option, designed after years of regressive research, is the Earth Camper by ARB, a renowned name in the 4×4 industry.

Made to cater to the needs of adventure enthusiasts, the Earth Camper is a bespoke home on wheels that allows travelers to venture further and extend their stays off-the-grid. This remarkable adventure trailer represents ARB’s foray into the world of off-road camping, showcasing the company’s expertise in various departments over nearly five decades.

Earth Camper’s one-piece exoskeleton shell spans from the front to the back and curves over the roof to the other side, eliminating weak points and corners while ensuring constant strength to the structure. The welded tubular chassis, a departure from the traditional box frame, provides flex-free support to the composite body panels.

Equipped with long-travel independent suspension, electric brakes, and all-terrain tires, the hard shell Earth Camper is built to tackle any terrain with ease, enabling adventurers to immerse themselves in the nomadic lifestyle while staying connected with like-minded individuals.

The camper shell is constructed from gray-coated fiberglass-reinforced plastic. Finished in 25 mm thick walls comprising almost 20 mm foam core, the camper offers excellent temperature and noise cancelation, and it features a 100 percent wood-less design that substantiates camper’s longevity in all types of climates.

At the push of a button, the clamshell back of the camper folds down, revealing a raised hard floor. Accessible through a door, a queen-size bed awaits inside the camper, which provides interior height of nearly 5 feet. For quick overnight stays, the camper is ready in minutes, and when you desire to extend your camping trip, a tent can be erected around the hard floor, providing a fully sheltered space. This extra space at the entrance can be used for sitting or dining: a dining table unfolds from the base of the bed area.

On the outside, the Earth Camper is equipped with a 120W roof-mounted solar panel, stationed adjacent to ARB’s dust separation system: two roof vents with filters that prevent dust from entering the camper and kitchen area. The trailer also features a 100Ah lithium battery, with room in the battery compartment for an additional 100AH battery. Portable solar panels can also be integrated for extra power generation.

For culinary convenience, the Earth Camper boasts a slide-out kitchen with a three-burner stove, integrated sink, and tap. A slide-out cutlery drawer adds to the practicality on the left side of the trailer. On the opposite side lies the toilet and shower enclosure inside an extendable tent.

To further enhance the camping experience, optional awnings and side curtains can be added, transforming the Earth Camper into a fully equipped and spacious encampment. The trailer’s versatility, allowing for both quick overnight stays and extended home-like experience, has made it a hit in Australia already. But its availability in other markets, such as the United States, remains uncertain. With a dry weight of 3,252 lbs, the Earth Camper is robust and capable platform priced at $74,500 AUD (roughly $50,000).
