British architect and designer Umut Yamac adopts a hands-on process for creating projects that are responsive to user and space, depicting the mutual dependence of light and material. His latest creation Array is no different and comes forth as hanging lamps made from the exploration of threads to create lightweight, delicate and beautiful sculptures.
Array marks the maiden collaboration between Barcelona-based brand Vibia and the British designer. The pendant light is composed of a series of fine threads pulled taut between two rings creating a playful interaction and movement. The light source is smartly crafted within the lower ring that diffuses the light upward and out. The threads are held in tension via the weight of the rings to create a delusional affair.
A collection of dynamic and impressive conical suspensions hit right at the base. The smaller upper ring is made of aluminum whereas the lower one is broad and made of brass. You can experience a rich play of colors through three different thread color versions to choose from while a static matte black color adorns both rings.

An intersection of art, light, and technology is largely depicted through the cylindrical hangings. The diffuser is made of polycarbonate and shields an LED light source that can be dimmable in different versions. Array’s vertical thread layering produces an interesting pattern and creates a shifting impression of the viewer.
Array offers immersive LED light to subtly glow and transform your interiors at home, office, or even public spaces. Array pendant light is available in three different sizes, the largest one being nearly two meters tall!
