Drawing inspiration from the buildings by Brazilian architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha; Czech studios Formafatal and Refuel Works have created this stunning raw concrete Art Villa amid the tropical jungle in Costa Rica. It is part of the Art Villas resort in Playa Hermosa, a massive property that includes rentable holiday homes.

This particular 570-square-meter two-story rentable features a huge concrete block swimming pool that protrudes from the abode, extending over the beautiful sloping site. Each face contains huge glass doors that open up to a wood deck wrapping the villa. All the concrete walls are deliberately kept in their original state for enhancing the raw and natural elements, like water and plants, used in the design.

The top floor of the villa has living areas, five bedrooms, a kitchen, and access to the swimming pool. On the other hand, the lower level includes recreational spaces such as a playroom, gym, and utility rooms. The polished concrete flooring runs throughout the living space, whereas the bedrooms and bathrooms boast ornamental cement tiles from Nicaragua.

Formafatal has also constructed various wood furnishings in the house using Brazilian IPE wood and teak, such as a bookcase with rectangular headboards and irregularly shaped dining table. To add a pop of color to the interior, the studios have also added some pastel pieces such as a modular blue sofa, a custom watercolor jungle scene tiles in kitchen, ombre painted stools, and green plants.

In the foyer of the villa, you’ll find a shallow circular reflecting pond and an artistic black and white decor piece with a ripple-like pattern on its surface. Every corner and nook of this holiday home is likely to connect you with the rawness of nature.

All set to enjoy the thrill of outdoors with maximum luxuries? You can book this stunning concrete villa through Art Villas. For now, check out the images below for a virtual tour of the property.
