With Salone del Mobile right around the corner, furniture and lighting studios have begun revealing their products to create a certain buzz in the market. Martinelli Luce is one such Italian lighting studio that has introduced a disk-like pendant with smart features.

Martinelli Luce has been dominating the luminaire industry for a long time. Designing lamps for interiors and lighting systems for exteriors, the studio has gained quite a following over the years. For the 61st edition of Salone del Mobile, the Italian studio is exhibiting a brand new pendant lamp dubbed Avro. Practical and stylish, the lamp can power portable electric appliances while illuminating the space. It can juice up smartphones and laptops, or other devices using the power socket located at the bottom of the lamp’s shade.

Taking the lighting industry by storm, Martinelli Luce’s dimmable aluminum pendant lamp is designed in collaboration with Studio Natural. Hanging over the dining table, this contemporary and innovative lamp transforms it into a functional workshop or a mini office at your behest.

Measuring 25cm high and 60 cm in diameter, the Avro Pendant Lamp features a slightly downward tilted diffuser. As per the studio, the diffuser is in methacrylate and shields a LED-type light source. Capable of powering your smartphone, it essentially provides a diffused light for pleasant illumination.

Circular in design, the suspension lamp boasts an aluminum body and comes in multiple finishes: orange, blue, black, and white. The Avro pendant lamp not only adds functionality to a room but also elevates the overall aesthetic of the space. More details on price and availability would be clear after it is exhibited at the Salone del Mobile, Milano 2023.
