CES is no stranger to weird innovations, but every once in a while, a gadget shows up that feels genuinely thoughtful rather than just a gimmick. Baby FuFu, the latest creation from Japan’s Yukai Engineering, is one such device that is cute and functional. Unveiled at CES 2026, Baby FuFu is essentially a robot fan for babies and toddlers, built to provide gentle, directed airflow while prioritizing safety.
Yukai Engineering has built its reputation on robots that aren’t intimidating or overly futuristic. Instead, the company focuses on designing robots that feel friendly, helpful, and human-adjacent. Baby FuFu fits that philosophy perfectly. Designed to clip onto strollers, cribs, or rails, the small robot keeps babies cool during hot summer days without the dangers of traditional blade fans.
If the name FuFu sounds familiar, that’s because Baby FuFu is an upgrade of Nékojita FuFu, Yukai Engineering’s viral mini robot from last year’s CES that cooled hot food and drinks by blowing air like a tiny human. Instead of blowing on hot beverages, Baby FuFu blows a soft stream of air through its mouth using an internal, fully enclosed fan. “The airflow is gentle, adjustable, and intentionally non-aggressive, perfect for babies,” the company states.
Beyond its playful design, Baby FuFu stands out for its smart engineering. The fan pulls air in from the bottom and pushes it out through a narrow, safety-guarded mouth, keeping fingers, hair, and small objects away from the moving parts, exactly what you want in a device designed for toddlers.
Its arms and legs aren’t meant for aesthetics but are purposely designed to grip stroller handles or rails, allowing parents to position airflow precisely without holding the device. Multiple airflow modes let caregivers adjust cooling levels depending on weather conditions or a child’s comfort.
Baby FuFu is expected to launch commercially in mid-2026, with pricing reportedly in the $50–$60 range. Yukai Engineering has a long-standing habit of running a crowdfunding campaign before its scheduled release, and we expect Baby Fufu to follow suit.
