Marking its new international collaboration with the studio Teresa Sapey + Partners, Spanish firm Uecko is set to present the CANICA vanity collection at Salone del Mobile, 2026. Born from the essential and universal form of a sphere, where the geometry symbolizes continuity, balance, and contained perfection. The vanity marks a shift towards more emotional and contemporary storage solutions.

The collection’s aesthetic is a blend of Teresa Sapey’s signature emotional expressiveness and Uecko’s high-end technical precision. The design revolves around ‘canica’, which means marble in Spanish, using the sphere as a primary geometric motif to soften the traditional, rigid lines of luxury storage. It mimics the visual depth of marble, highlighting the flash of color at its core that adds an element of surprise and personality.

The marble (canica) serves as a philosophical anchor. It represents a return to pure, organic forms to break the monotony of the straight lines typically found in modular furniture. Unlike traditional wardrobes designed solely for hiding clothes, the CANICA vanity is built on the philosophy that high-end furniture should be adaptive. It is designed to be a living piece that transitions seamlessly between high-end hotels and emotional residential dressing rooms.

Uecko says, “More than vanity, CANICA is presented as an object with its own identity. A piece that transcends the functional to become an element of character, capable of dialoguing with architecture and space from serenity and precision.”

The collection pairs natural wood and glass that help organize accessories while giving a sense of openness. The drawers reveal the color’s full intensity when opened and integrate effortlessly into the main structure. CANICA is a piece that brings elegance and play all together to the space, pairing precision with joy.
