Ambiance controlling lighting mechanisms have always been a big hit among enthusiasts who seriously have a thing for embellishing their home decor. The lighting devices in this regard have been made more accessible by the utilization of mobile based technologies that felicitate remote controlling. Following on to this niche market,  FiveFive has unveiled Holî, a cool looking, colored LED lighting mechanism that is fully controllable from Apple’s iOS.

The hollow square shaped fixture is integrated with 18 RGB LEDs, and can be used for splashing the vivacious lights onto your interior walls. Each of the singular light colors can be regulated by an iOS based platform (like iPhone, iPad or iPod) through wireless Bluetooth. And, on the functional side, the lighting infused color scenes can also be customized by the users. In relation to this, one of the great features of Holî is the synchronization of the color scheme of your favorite item (like a flower vase) with the color palette of the fixture. This can be done with a smartphone camera snapped image of the item, which is then automatically adjusted with the color features of the Holî.

Other attributes include the activation of different colored lights for corresponding online triggers like emails, messages and Tweets. Of course, the low power unit cannot be used for those collectively, large scale lighting effects. But it is enough to bring the groove to a small house party or gathering.

Commercially, the company expects to debut Holî by next quarter of 2013, with a price tag of $299 per unit.
