London and New York-based designer Lee Broom awed everyone with his “From Here Now’ debut exhibition at 3daysofdesign 2025. The exhibition featured over 70 signature lighting designs, from reimagined classics to his global debut of Chant portable table lamp. The Chant is considered to be Broom’s first ever portable lamp, crafted in clear or frosted glass version.
Lee Broom describes this table lamp as a structural glass object that elegantly balances form and function. The design of the Chant is inspired by the pressed glass bricks, known to be used as an alternative to stained glass during the 1970s architecture, especially in the places of worship.
The lamp’s blown glass cube appearance is enhanced with a slight circular indent on all sides in both versions. Inside this cubical structure, a circular bulb emits a soft and warm glow, looking like a firefly inside a jar.
The Chant’s single glass cube mounts to a base finished in brushed bronze, brushed gold, or brushed silver, giving it a refined appearance. This sculptural lamp is also designed to be weather-resistant and is therefore suited for indoor and outdoor use.

The lamp is touch dimmable with four settings, allowing the light to be adjusted depending on users’ requirements. The lamp is also rechargeable via a magnetic port located underneath the base of the lamp. It can be charged for up to 6 hours with the help of a charging USB-C cable. Moreover, the lamp’s 3000mAh battery can provide 40 hours of light time, enhancing the outdoor usability.
Whether the Chant portable table lamp is mounted on a side table in a living room, adorning a bookshelf, or brightening a corner of a bedroom, it will enliven any nook of the house effortlessly and draw all the eyes to its warm, whimsical glow. For enthusiastic buyers, Chant is available for online purchase from June 18 on the designer’s website at the price of $385.
