Italy-based furniture brand, Giorgetti, introduces the Chanterelle low table designed by Tollgard & Castellani of London-based Tollgard Studio to infuse indoor spaces with natural elegance and sophistication. Inviting nature indoors, the table is eponymous of a piece of furniture, where its design recalls the silhouette of a mushroom, from which the table also gets its name.

Chanterelle comprises a set of three low tables in different sizes, where a slender base upholds the round tabletop in an act of perfect balance. Inspired by the natural world and materials, it beautifully underlines the juxtaposition of varied elements in a single piece of furniture.

The branches and frame are made of ash wood and available in different textures, whereas, the smoked glass tabletop reveals the leather base, adding to its beauty and grace. A fusion of distinct materials makes these tables a sight to behold and objects of discourse among the viewers.

The tables are inspired by the forest, with every aspect of nature duly considered. Staffan Tollgård, founder of Tollgard Studio told Homecrux in an exclusive chat, “The inspiration for the design began with a walk in the woods. At every level, life strives towards the light. The twin expressions of this organic growth, Chanterelle captures both the branches of the trees and their graceful canopies as well as the organic sculptural forms of the forest floor.”
