I am yet to walk into a Japanese home, but from my experience (given the number of cheeky home-based gadgets I have covered out of Japan) I can conclude that Japanese have the freakiest techie things to decorate their home. Case in point is this Rainbow LED Lamp, iPhone speaker and MP3 player all-in-one. Priced at ¥1,499 (approx. $20), the LED lamp with MP3 speaker sparkles with all the colors of the rainbow. Featuring a simple slider touch control on the device, the user can control colors of light which change between blue, indigo, violet, red, orange, yellow and green. A long press on the control (which is also the play button for MP3 player) ensures automatic change of colors between period enhancing the sense of music you are engrossed in.
The mood enhancing portable LED lamp as explained features a MP3 player that plays music from a MicroSDHC card (expandable up to 32GB) slotted into it. The LED lamp & music player can also be used as a desk speaker; it’s compatible with iPod and iPhone. The device comes with 3.5 mm slot (so you can stick up almost all gadgets to it) and microUSB cable for charging and other needs.
