Crate&Barrel’s kids department just got an amazing spring update with a limited-edition collaboration with Converse. Crate & Kids has launched its first fashion partnership with Converse, marking the brand’s first foray into kids’ furniture. Bringing back the spirit of iconic Chuck Taylor into young fans’ spaces through thoughtful design details and heritage hues, this collection is inspired by vintage basketball courts and sports culture.
Paired with a sophisticated Americana palette, the exclusive Crate&Barrel x Converse collection features 80 pieces of furnishings. Each piece blends the brand’s cultural legacy with Crate & Kids’ craftsmanship and quality design, from red cord accents inspired by the sneaker’s midsole stripe to vent-style eyelets integrated into furniture.

The sneaker-inspired collection offers young fans quality furnishings imbued with the iconic design, marked by surf and skate culture references. Aside from furniture, you can find themed lighting, textiles, artwork, storage, and décor pieces, paying homage to Chuck Taylor.
The 80-item assortment of Converse for Crate & Kids is dotted with undyed cotton canvas, organic fabrics, and rich woods, sporting the classic Americana charm. While the collection feels whimsical for the little ones, it is grown-up enough to last them well into their teen years. The neutral finishes, such as chrome and whitewashed ash, that pair seamlessly with everything, create an everlasting appeal.

Young Creators and kids have influenced Converse for generations, and designing for them in new and unexpected ways is at the heart of what we do. Our partnership with Crate & Kids has allowed us to produce a collection that inspires creativity at home—inviting kids to shape their world with the same individuality they show when they pull on their favorite pair of Chucks

Alicia Walters, Brand President, Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids, shared that the collaboration has resulted in a timeless and playful collection that is true to both brands’ ethos. “We both share a deep respect for heritage and self-expression, which shines through in the heirloom-quality pieces,” they further added.
This collection translated the iconic sneaker design language into unique, playful pieces that are especially designed for kids’ spaces with a heritage feel. Each detail draws a direct line to the iconic Chuck Taylor. There is an All Star Lamp with a red cord, a direct nod to Chucks’ crimson mid-sole stripes. The Vent Nightstand flaunts the sneakers’ eyelets, whereas the Half Court Desk and Full Court Dresser transport you to the gym floor of a basketball court.

Many items are engraved or embroidered with the recognizable Converse logo, lending your kids’ room a designer feel. Prices for the Crate&Barrel x Converse collaboration for kids’ furniture start at $29 for décor, and range up to $1,800 for a large bookcase unit. If you want to do a makeover for your kid’s bedroom, the entire collection is available to shop now. The best part, however, is that you can have many of the pieces personalized with your child’s name embroidered onto them.
