German studio Aust & Amelung has created an upholstered bench that is designed by observing human interactions with the furniture. Keeping that in mind, the designer developed this customizable bench that is like a playful puzzle to the user to change its look every time on rearranging the mismatched cushions of the bench. The seating area and backrest frame are made of simple wooden plates slotted at regular intervals. These different sized cushions are plugged into the grooves of the seat and wooden backrest using steel pins. There is a slightly raised cushion on seating area that can be used as a headrest when lying down on the bench or as an arm rest when sitting up.

This design is a contemporary take on vintage styled furniture boasting fine lines and minimalist aesthetic. The multi-colored cushions are cleverly designed in muted shades, complimenting each other. These soft shades of the furniture allow it to fit perfectly into any area of your home; whether it is the living area, bedroom or outer space of home.
