I have recently gotten married. Before marriage, things were simple. I picked my brewer, made my coffee, and got going with my day. Now things are different, and so are the coffee choices. I like my coffee hot, my wife prefers it cold. I have a thing for cappuccino while my better half likes Americano more. The reason for discussing coffee is that both my wife and I are working individuals who have developed a physical or psychological dependence on caffeine. So in the morning rush, there’s this quest of who will drink what.
The answer could be in a machine that automates things for us. Luckily, De’Longhi, an Italian leading brand in home appliances, has introduced the Primadonna Aromatic coffee machine that can help pour out separate drinks based on different user profiles. Thanks to this fancy feature, Primadonna Aromatic learns your coffee preferences over time. It stores multiple profiles (four to be precise), so you can toggle between your kind of hot or cold brew without a hitch.
Whether you’re a “morning espresso so strong it could wake a coma patient” type, or a “afternoon creamy latte with a hint of oat milk” aficionado; the coffee machine clocks when you typically sip, so it can brew you your go-to morning americano at 7 a.m. or that 3 p.m. latte when your energy’s circling the drain. As Stuff puts it, this is the kind of smart feature that “removes a step from your morning chaos instead of adding another notification to ignore.” Amen to that!
Just like the different-sized chips you munch, not all coffee beans are created equal, and the Primadonna Aromatic knows it. This is why makers have invested in ‘Bean Adapt technology’, which, as per the company, “automatically adjusts grinding and brewing settings to ideal extraction, bringing out the best flavours of any bean.”
Workload-wise, the coffee machine can whip up 35 hot and cold drinks. Espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, cold brew, you name it, the Primadonna Aromatic has got you covered. Want to tweak a preset or invent your own Franken-coffee? The De’Longhi Comfort app lets you play the mad scientist, customizing everything from strength to milk foam density. No wonder, technology blogs are raving about its high-res, full-color touchscreen that’s so slick, “it looks tempting to poke just for the fun of it.”
Despite its barista-level skills, the Primadonna Aromatic is surprisingly compact. As per Tom’s Guide, it is the smallest bean-to-cup machine in De’Longhi’s lineup. On the downside, the Primadonna Aromatic isn’t cheap.
Priced at £1,549.99, which translates to roughly US$2,050 (no U.S. launch date yet), it’s an investment. But if you’re the type who drops $5 a day at the coffee shop, this machine could pay for itself by keeping your caffeine fix at home. Plus, its smart features are genuinely useful, not just gimmicky bells and whistles. The coffee machine is up for grabs in the UK starting May 1, 2025, and can be availed directly from the De’Longhi website.
