Who could have thought that Chinara Darwish, a dynamic furniture designer from Dubai, enriched with technical background, would become the talk of the town for her latest design? Chinara unveiled a luxury Dining Table that is making headlines for being crafted from marine industry waste at large.

Owing to her interest in materials, the young designer passionately commits to designing sustainable yet elegant objects primarily from waste products. The table is seen as a part of Chinara Darwish’s ‘The Alchemy Series’.

The dining table adorns a beautifully crafted green-marbled surface that feels sturdy and functional. What’s seen as an interesting fact is that 193kg of low-density polyethylene waste has gone into making this eco-friendly bespoke furniture piece.

Crafted by transforming 100 percent locally sourced marine industry and construction waste, the table is finally seen as a result of color and pattern put into play. The Alchemy Series claims to be a zero-waste furniture collection, thanks to its circular design process.

With a vision to produce a unique table, Chinara discourages mass production, requiring the material and process thoroughly worked upon. She faced numerous challenges to transform plastic waste into something attractive and luxurious.

The table provides a seating capacity for eight people and ensures a dining solution for large modern spaces. The vibrant table delivers a realistic and practical solution to the menace of plastic waste. For additional information on the dining table, feel free to check out the Instagram page of the designer.
