Kevin Byrne is a talented design enthusiast who runs the Funtitled Workshop in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood. He has been making highly detailed themed-Halloween display for past few years. His passion and commitment are so strong that he has not skipped his Halloween tradition despite the Coronavirus.

He has made good use of stay-at-home time and spent nearly 3 months to make The Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween display this time. There are a total of 10 different handmade decorations and props; the main highlights are the 10-feet-tall Jack Skellington, Sally’s large hair made of 728 yards of yarn, Oogie Boogie that glows in his lair, and the freestanding Zero prop with a solar panel embedded in the back of his head to power his light-up nose.

Kevin has built each of these Halloween props from scratch – mainly using foam wall insulation and PVC pipes. These self-made Halloween props are placed upon the roof for maximum visibility and also to prevent theft/vandalism.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween display looks pretty awesome in the day time, but it becomes even more stunning at night when the lights are on. You can see more pictures of the display at the Funtitled Workshop website.
