Europeans have long understood something the rest of the world is still catching up to. Homeowners there have realized that a smaller, more mobile life is always better. Minimalism isn’t a trend here; it’s a lifestyle. And mobility isn’t a compromise; it’s a form of freedom. The Erica tiny house by the Polish company Craft House is built squarely on these principles.

Poised on a double-axle trailer, the tiny house measures 23.7 feet long, 8.2 feet wide, and 13.1 feet high. The exterior features thermally treated pine paired with aluminium standing seam cladding for a finish that is both durable and quietly contemporary.

The biggest USP of the Erica tiny house is a rooftop terrace accessible via an external spiral staircase. The terrace features a seating area and a small dining table, though it would likely need to come down before the home hits the road.

Inside, Scandinavian spruce keeps things warm and natural. Complementing the build are glass doors, glazing, and skylights that let natural light pour through, keeping the interior connected to the world outside. Access to the interior is gained via a ground-level deck that welcomes visitors into the living room. Compact yet spacious, the living room is accoutred with a sofa bed, coffee table, and a pouf.

Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen. The kitchen is fully-furnished, and comes with an induction hob, oven, refrigerator, sink, and custom high-durability plywood cabinetry. Opposite the kitchen cabinetry is a storage-integrated staircase that leads to the loft bedroom.

Similar to traditional tiny homes, the loft bedroom features a low ceiling and a cabinet to house essential items. Other features include a mattress, bedside table, and lamp. Downstairs is the bathroom. It comes outfitted with a shower, toilet, washbasin, electric water heater, mirror, fan, and electric radiator.

The tiny house meets its power and water supply needs via a standard RV-style hookup. Priced at 204,000 PLN ( USD $55,000), the Erica tiny house can be utilized as a full-fledged home or as a rental investment.
