It’s been nine months since I interviewed the Sweden-based tiny house builder Vagabond Haven’s CEO Manuel Kohout. During the chat, he disclosed that after trying a number of permutations and combinations his company has finally settled on six key models. With that bold statement coming straight from the founder, I didn’t expect Vagabond Haven to roll out any new tiny house on wheels, but the Swedish manufacturer took me by surprise when it announced the new Forest 300 tiny house.
The 19-foot long and 8.2-foot wide tiny house stands as a testament to the art of minimalistic living without compromise. The tiny house is finished in spruce, inside and out, and boasts metal siding to add to the charm. Not to mention, the laminate flooring inside which is capped with an aluminum roof that ensures the structural support to the dwelling. The mobile habitat also has generous glazing allowing light and air to permeate inside.
Forest 300 tiny house boasts a minimalist interior, courtesy of its ingenious design that transforms limited space into an expansive haven. As you enter the house, you’ll spot a bedroom on one side and a kitchen on the other. To separate the two areas is an open space equipped with a side table. If you want, you can call this the living room, but I doubt you’d have a chair to sit on.
This doesn’t mean the tiny house does not include furnishings. It features a double bed with a frame mattress, a clothes hanger, and a television. There is plenty of storage under the bed, so you need not worry about housing shoes and clothes. The other end of the tiny house is primarily dedicated to function as kitchen space. It is equipped with lower and upper cabinets, a three-layer oak board countertop, and appliances with the likes of an induction cooktop and a small fridge. It is to be noted that Vagabond Haven has not bombarded the space with unnecessary items and stayed with bare essentials.

A tiny house is incomplete without a bathroom. Just because it’s dubbed Forest 300 doesn’t imply you’d have to take nature’s route to answer nature’s call every time. The tiny house features a toilet, a shower with a glass door, and a sink.
Renowned for its minimalist approach and Scandinavian design, Vagabond Haven has created quite a hype for itself in the tiny house circuit and certainly doesn’t want to lose the tempo when the tiny house movement is at its peak. To ensure they become the talk of the town again, Vagabond offers the Forest tiny house model as a compact masterpiece, tailor-made for the contemporary nomad seeking both freedom and comfort.
