The short-throw projector industry is following a trend of flexible installation. This started with the inclusion of gimbal stands like in the Valerion VisionMaster or JMGO N3 as well as foldable designs as that of the Aurzen projector and the TCL Playcube (which toggles like a Rubik’s cube to offer new ways to position and use it). The Japanese brand Fujifilm has been offering projectors with adjustable heads since 2019 and now it has a 4K variant that defines flexibility and function.

The all-new Fujifilm FP-ZUH6000 projector comes with a unique “folded two-axial rotatable lens” that allows you to project the image in different directions simply by rotating the periscope lens. No need to reposition the entire unit. The lens can rotate 90 degrees around the mounting axis and 360 degrees around the lens axis. This helps project a large image from very short distances. How much distance and the probably projectable screen size are not detailed yet.

The FP-ZUH6000 projector is equipped with the latest DLP chip to offer high-definition 4K resolution. Fujifilm claims its unique optical engine enables the projector to achieve 1.5 times better color reproduction than the earlier FP-Z6000 model.

The new 4K projector delivers vivid images with a brightness of 6000 lumens and comes with 1.1x optical zoom for easy adjustment of the image size. There is also a wide lens shift function of 82 percent vertically and 35 percent horizontally that allows you to adjust the position of the projected image without moving the projector or altering the direction of the lens.

The projector measures 486mm wide, 496mm deep, and 175mm high, while it weighs about 17.5 kg. Fujifilm has revealed no details about the throw ratio, which is an important factor when choosing the best ultra short throw 4K projector.

Fujifilm FP-ZUH6000 ultra short throw 4K projector is on display until February 7 at the 2025 Integrated Systems Europe in Barcelona, Spain. The pricing is not revealed at the time of writing, but it is scheduled for release this summer in two color variants.
