Giganto Blanket by Laura Birek for Harsh Winter Cold

Imagine yourself curled up in a cozy blanket in winters. Well, these are the stress-free moments you spend at home. People prefer heavy bedclothes for handling harsh winters, but for some, the style quotient also matters while buying winter stock. Last year we saw the giant blanket by Ohhio, and recently Laura Birek of Nocturnal Units has designed Giganto blanket with unspun American wool roving. This knitted blanket is a gorgeous conversation starter as well as a great home accessory for bringing warmth and texture to any bedroom.

It is jointly knit with large needles by Laura Birek and the same artist who has woven the Big Sky Cableknit wool blanket too. This bespoke handmade product provides cozy warmth with high-quality natural wool and looks pretty cool on a bed with attractive weave patterns.

There are hundreds of color choices from which you have to pick a color that suits your personal style. The natural and less-processed fiber keeps it soft, and it is normal if your Giganto blanket sheds or pills any time. Just try to keep it away from areas that you visit often in the bedroom and brush it occasionally.

The finished product is approximately 50” x 84” which is perfect for a queen bed, and you can purchase it from Etsy for $6.14. You can also check out the video in which she demonstrates how to knit a Giganto Blanket.
