Hisense is leveling up to big names like Samsung and LG in terms of its TV offerings. First, it launched the S6 FollowMe 32-inch Wireless TV at CES 2026, which competes directly with Samsung’s Moving Style Edge and the LG StanbyMe 2. Another great example of its innovations comes in the form of the 163MX RGBY Micro-LED display that is often seen as the future of display technology. Hisense has added a fourth Yellow sub-pixel to its new Micro-LED display to expand the color range.

The 163MX is the industry’s first Micro-LED display to feature a four-primary color RGBY (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow) pixel architecture. This innovative QuadColor design adds a yellow subpixel to the traditional RGB structure.

This makes the panel capable of covering 95% of the BT.2020 color space, with a 5 percent improvement over previous RGB Micro-LED systems. Built on self-emissive Micro-LED technology, each pixel emits its own light, which enables precise brightness control, perfect black levels, and infinite contrast without the need for a backlight.

Furthermore, the 163MX employs advanced color management techniques that balance brightness and colors across 33.17 million subpixels. Hisense claims the display is capable of achieving up to 100% of the BT.2020 color space, setting a new benchmark for spectral range and accuracy in Micro-LED technology.

Despite its large size, the Hisense Micro LED RGBY display has an ultra-slim 32mm profile and a zero-gap wall mount, allowing it to blend neatly into spaces. The 163MX Micro-LED RGBY display provides a glimpse into the future of MicroLED development. There are no details about the brightness levels yet, but it is indeed a development.
