IKEA is serious about establishing itself in the speaker market. There are recent examples, including Kallsup and NATTBAD portable speakers, as well as the KULGLASS speaker lamps, that tell about its current strategy. The brand is not only targeting modern homeowners but also young children, and the recently launched Grejsimojs speaker is designed for the young clientele. Boasting an adorable mouse shape, the new IKEA speaker will be a cute addition to a child’s room, and can even double up as a toy.
Designed by Marta Krupińska, each speaker features a plastic body along with silicone feet and ears. It is IP44 rated, which means it is not suitable for wet conditions, such as a bathroom.
The Grejsimojs speaker motivates parents and children to play together, which is the main theme behind the collection. The speaker features a playful mouse shape with two rounded ears and four legs, with the face serving as a speaker grill while the lanyard is designed to mimic its tail.
As for audio specs, the speaker features a front-firing speaker with a 1.6-inch full-range driver. It even includes a built-in volume limiter, so the sound always stays kid-friendly. Furthermore, it comes with a multi-speaker mode that allows you to group it with other IKEA Bluetooth speakers with this feature to enjoy the same music from multiple units.

The IKEA Grejsimojs mouse speaker is perfect for dinnertime tunes, cozy bedtime stories, and play sessions. It has a 24-hour battery life when played at half volume, and it charges via the onboard USB-C port.
IKEA has not included a USB-C cable with the package to lower the price. If looking to buy the mouse-shaped speaker, it is currently listed for £12 (about $16) on IKEA in the UK and Europe.
