Although, river tables are both a beautiful and practical furniture piece, but they aren’t made using real water like the concrete public bench created by Paris-based design studio Jean Couvreur for the Lyon City Demain Festival.
Dubbed as Banc Frais (Fresh Bench in English), this concrete public bench features a small water surface in the center which is connected to an integrated pump system and 300L tank. The soothing presence of water keeps the surroundings fresher. There is a long tradition of integrating water as a decorative and refreshing element in public spaces, and this bench also takes benefit from the same.
