The Egyptian-born, Canadian industrial designer Karim Rashid has designed the Voxel Chair for Spanish designer furniture maker Vondom. Re-interpretation of the Vertex Chair, Voxel features a unique structural shape, along with angular and multi-faceted design, allowing it to make an envious statement in any space.
An epitome of injection molding, the Voxel Chair is made from injected polypropylene with fiberglass and features a comfortable yet minimalist design. Its smartly designed shape distributes the weight in a balanced manner, making it lightweight and easy to carry. In addition, the chairs can be stacked on each other to save space.
As explained by the designer;
The Voxel Chair is a minimal simple yet voluminous stackable chair that is faceted just in the perfect places for comfort, just in the right angles for hyper-strength, imbuing the correct creases for beauty, and just the few merging and converging lines for purity.
The Voxel Chair is suitable not only for outdoor spaces but can also be placed inside a home or office. It is available in six different colors to match different interior styles.
Unlike most of the modern chair designs, the heart of the Voxel Chair is its angular design and straight lines. If Art Deco is your taste, then you have a reason to shell.
