British company KEF, known for its high-end audio products, has introduced its first XIO soundbar to enhance your home cinema experience. The XIO soundbar is designed to deliver immersive sound with Dolby Atmos and 5.1.2 spatial audio. This results in transcendent cinematic soundscapes that elevate movies, TV shows, and music streaming. Apart from its impressive audio performance, the soundbar features a sleek design that seamlessly integrates into contemporary home interiors.
With support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Sony 360 Reality Audio, the soundbar creates immersive soundscapes by placing sounds in a three-dimensional space. These codecs allow audio elements like raindrops or footsteps to come from specific directions, including overhead, to provide a realistic feeling. Additionally, you can activate Dialogue Mode using the companion mobile app or the included remote control, which enhances vocal clarity by boosting speech frequencies and reducing background noise.
At the core of the XIO Dolby Atmos soundbar is KEF’s latest acoustic technology. It is equipped with KEF Uni-Q MX and four P185 LF drivers, supported by VECO technology to deliver an immersive audio experience. It supports all major streaming services, including Spotify, TIDAL, QPlay, Amazon Music, and Qobuz, and is also compatible with a wide range of audio formats, including PCM files, Dolby Atmos Music, and Sony 360 Reality Audio.
Furthermore, the Intelligent Placement Technology (IPT) automatically detects objects around the soundbar to understand the room’s acoustics, and then the MIE algorithm automatically adjusts the sound settings for better audio quality.

The XIO soundbar will look great in any space with its premium grille fabric and aluminum top panel, elements that are inspired by contemporary interior design and architecture. Additionally, the XIO soundbar includes an upgraded W2 wireless connectivity suite that allows for seamless integration into your home setup without the clutter of wires.
The XIO soundbar can be controlled with the supplied remote, onboard buttons on the top panel, and the KEF Connect app. For connectivity, it features an HDMI port with eARC support, optical digital audio input, and an RCA subwoofer line out for connecting an external subwoofer.
The soundbar measures 70 × 1210 × 165 mm (2.8 × 47.6 × 6.5 inches) and weighs 10.5 kg (23.1 lbs). Keeping in mind its high-end specifications and audio features, the KEF XIO soundbar is listed for a massive $2,500 on the official website and is available in two colors. It is now available via early access to myKEF members, and it goes on sale on July 18.
