Kimpton BEM Hotel is a luxurious hideaway in Budapest’s most heartwarming neighborhood. The pet-friendly retreat is outfitted with 127 rooms and suites that offer a relaxing space to spend quality time with your furry friends. Guests can enjoy the panoramic view of the Danube River and castle district, while acquainting themselves with the riveting Hungarian history and tradition. Not far is the city’s renowned Turkish Bath that is not to be missed.

This 19th-century long-forgotten building is now transformed into a grand and glorious hotel by Dutch-based designer, Marcel Wanders. Shrouded in enchanting tales and folklores of Hungary, every corner of the hotel echoes Hungarian beliefs ingrained with such fineness throughout the hotel. Furthermore, it embraces the charm, history, and locality; painting a flamboyant picture of the city’s vibrant soul. This hotel is not just a place to spend a few days in leisure but an opportunity to connect with people, their past and present.

The exterior of the Kimpton BEM Hotel in itself is an architectural phenomenon. Upon entering the lobby, guests are welcomed by certain delicacies like a glass of sparkling wine. As you drink your wine, you can enjoy the blissful atmosphere of the interiors. From the sculpted conclave ceilings, painted walls, and embellished floral desks in purple, green, and yellow motifs every detail glimpses into Hungarian folklore.

If you want to plunge deeper into the mythological significance, then the AGOS next to the lobby is one of the highlighted spots to eat delightful dishes and admire the beauty of a large-scale golden stag in a stained-glass atrium. It is packed with cocooning seating and large windows brightening up the space, cascading light on the legends and fables embedded on the walls.

Along with AGOS, Bar Huso and Bar Fennen provide a perfect culinary spot to experience the cooking excellence of the hotel’s Mediterranean kitchen which is infused with Hungarian flavors to satisfy the appetites of travelers.

Wanders designed the Bar Huso with a moody blue tone and lots of greenery. Keeping things lively and magical is the orb-shaped art installation on the walls depicting fantastical underwater creatures. He beautifully revives the age-old traditions and blends them with contemporary relevance. As he says, “It connects to people, it connects to history, and it makes our lives bigger.”

Another haven is the Bar Fennen. It is a rooftop bar that is accessible through maze-like corridors. You can enjoy the splendid view of the entire city while rejoicing in a scrumptious meal and get drunk over endearing laughter.

The hotel offers stylish meeting rooms catering seamlessly to large and small gatherings or events. The essential and premium Danube room with en-suite bathroom gives an otherworldly comfort and makes you feel like royalty.

Other special amenities include a hot tub, 24/7 gym, swoon-worthy balcony view, chic cocktails, good food, and many complimentary delicacies. Bring along your pets and spend your exhilarating days wandering the poetic corridors, fairylike lobby, and bewitching halls at Kimpton BEM Hotel.
