Klipsch is making big announcements at the 2026 HIGH END Vienna, of which one may interest vintage-loving audiophiles around the world. Case in point is the new Rebellion model, which is the first bookshelf version in the brand’s legendary Heritage Series. Despite being compact in size compared to others in the lineup, the speaker is engineered to deliver “explosive dynamics, lifelike detail, and room-filling presence”, says Klipsch. If you ever wanted to own Klipsch Heritage loudspeakers but were restricted due to the available space, these new bookshelf speakers give you something similar in a smaller footprint.

Launched as part of Klipsch’s 80th anniversary celebrations, the speaker blends historic 1940s design with modern engineering. Based on founder Paul W. Klipsch’s original 1958 H8 speaker, it is a two-way loudspeaker that uses a horn-loaded K-81-EP tweeter in combination with a K-702 woofer to deliver clear highs and deep lows. As noted by What HiFi, it also uses a rear Tractrix flare port for enhancing the low end even more.

The earlier models in the Heritage lineup were hi-fi speakers, but it is not right to say something about the sound quality based on the information available right now. There is a dearth of exact specifications, which can help compare it with other options available in a similar price range. So wait, until you get to know at least about the frequency response.

The Rebellion loudspeaker is designed to work in a two-channel stereo system or as part of a broader Klipsch Heritage home theater setup. It can also be paired with the Klipsch KS-24 speaker stands, highlights Ecoustics magazine.

Like other Klipsch Heritage loudspeakers, the Rebellion uses grain-matched wood veneer panels sourced from the same timber. It features a black cloth grille and comes in Klipsch’s standard finishes, including American Walnut, American Auburn, Black Ash, or Red Oak. You can also get a limited-edition Tigerwood finish, available in celebration of the company’s 80th anniversary.

There are no details about the pricing and availability of the Rebellion yet. Some reports claim it will be available in North America by July 2026, with an estimated retail price of $2,599 per pair.
